                 23-day Dive Tour

Discover the Philippines underwater paradise. More than 7,000 islands of lush tropical greenery, ringed with unspoiled beaches, are scattered around these deep-blue waters - waters which offer about 40,000 square kilometers of coral reefs teeming with a wide variety of marine life.





DAY 1. Departure flight to Manila.


DAY 2. We pick you up from the airport of Ninoy Aquino in Manila (or previous travel module).and we bring you to the Garden Plaza Hotel or Orchid Garden Hotel.  After you can relax or you can swim in the pool or you can go to a great shopping mall which is ideal for shopping and is near from the hotel.


DAY 3. We go to the never sleeping City of Manila. Nobody really knows how many people live here. The estimated population is between 15 to 22 million people. You find many attractions in this city. We make by Calesa (horse-drawn carriage) a city tour and see the Manila Cathedral and buildings out of the Spanish and American colonial period. We visit the central located at Rizal Park with its botanical gardens and the one that is impressive is the Old Spanish fort rich Intramuros, the prison and the wall where the national hero Dr. Rizal who was executed by the Spanish colonial occupiers in 1897.  We visit the National Museum and see a part of the history of the Philippines. Also, visit to Manila Bay and hopefully we can watch a spectacular sunset. We experience the nightlife of this never sleeping city with its various restaurants, theatres, discos and bars. Manila has an exciting nightlife.


DAY 4 We drive through the coconut and banana plantations of the beautiful area of Laguna Lake of the south. After that we go to the city of Atimonan. There we enjoy the coastal road and the view of Lamon Bay. Then we arrive in Gumaga where we take our dinner and stay for an overnight.  

DAY 5. After breakfast we leave Gumaga and our journey brings as further to the south. We enjoy the magnificent landscape, with mountains and volcanoes. We pass by to the city Legaspi with its view on the majestic pyramid formed active volcano which is Mount Mayon. We drive to the province of Sorsogon. A beautiful road brings us to the dreamy little coastal town of Donsol. Our hotel is directly located on the beach. Many times they have here breathtaking sunset. We enjoy our local dinner with a view over the so-called "Whale Watching Bay".
DAY 6 - 8 Early in the morning we go by banca (local boat) to spot and to swim with the Whale Shark. This is really a very unique  experience. We can also find lot of  dolphins in the area of so-called ’’The Ultimate Wildlife Encounter’’. This is truly an adventures day that you cannot easily forget. When our spotter discovers a whale shark you plunge into the water and swim next to one of these majestic giants of the sea. This place is also famous for its beautiful breathtaking sunset. The whole area and atmosphere is really unique.

DAY 9. We leave Luzon and take a 2-hour ferry trip from  Matnog to Samar. We drive along to one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world to Calbayog. We pass many villages and enjoy the majestic mountain landscape. In Calbayog we visit the “Samar Archeological Museum” which features the historical findings of the island. We drive south to the island of Leyte.  We leave the  island of  Samar and travel more than 2-kilometer long of San Juanico Bridge, the longest bridge in Asia.  We stay for an overnight  in Tacloban in the Tacloban Plaza Hotel.


DAY 10.  In the morning we leave for Palo. Here during World War II the American General Douglas MacArthur fulfilled his promise  of  "I SHALL RETURN".  On this  coast  was a  heavy  sea battle  with the Japanese fleet. Under heavy resistance the  American and  Filipino  troops  landed  here on the beach.  Because  of the many casualties and wounded and the blood that was spilt here,  the beach was called "Red Beach'' More than 30,000 americans and 60,.000 japanese soldiers lost their lives here. In memory of the landing of the troops many  heads of states have placed  items of remembrance to commemorate the ultimate sacrifice of so many. We also have a visit to the cathedral of Palo which served as a hospital during the war. We visit the colonial style ‘‘St Nino Shrine’’ and ‘’The Heritage Museum". The wife of the late president Marcos, Emelda built this house in the city of her birth. By visiting this house you get an  impression of the  enormous wealth of the Marcos' family. The colonial house holds art  treasures from all over the world which were given to the Marcos' family. You can take a look at the bedrooms of Emelda Marcos,  her husband and her children.  In the afternoon we drive to San isidro and we stay for an overnight there.


DAY 11. We go by boat (one half hour) to Maya of the island Cebu. From there we go by Banca (half an hour) to the Malapascua Island.  Malapascua Island also called Logon is located 8 kilometers northeast of Cebu and 25 kilometers west of Leyte. It’s a beautiful island with magnificent, white beaches. We stay in under Swiss management the Cocobana Beach Resort, directly located on the beautiful, white beach.


DAY 12 - 14. Malapascua Island has something for all divers. So come and dive the best kept secret of the Philippines - indeed of South East Asia. Malapascua Island dive sites have it all! Sharks, mantas, macros, wrecks and corals.


DAY 15. After breakfast we sail back to Maya on the island of Cebu. From there  we have a three-hour drive through the beautiful landscape of Cebu Island. We go to the airport and we flight back to Manila. We stay overnight in the Garden Plaza Hotel or Orchid Garden Hotel.


DAY 16. We drive to Batangas and take the ferry to the island Mindoro and stay in Puerto Galera in the Big Apple Dive Resort on Sabang Beach.  Our hotel is directly located on the beach. There is a nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Enjoy the view from the balcony terrace. The restaurant serves every night a barbeque as well as delightful fishes and meat dishes. The swimming pool with pool bar is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. We stay in the Mabuhay Resort on the Small Laguna Beach.


DAY 17 - 19. The PADI Dive master brings you to different places. Minimum of two diving per day. It is believed that there are over 3,000 species of fishes and marine animals - that's about 50% more than the Red Sea. As well as we have a wide variety of dives types: deep, drift, wreck and many the Philippines. The diving is an excellent and there is a considerable choice - shore diving, different islands, remote reefs, Japanese wrecks and more. The water is tropical and warm  Dec. to Feb. 21 it has 24°C and from March to Nov. 25 it has 30°C. The marine life is exquisite with the beautiful soft corals.


DAY 20. A day to relax. We lie on the beach or by the pool, swim, snorkel or take a dive under water or relax on one of the floating bars. The area around Puerto Galera has an exotic under water world with coral reefs, many tropical fishes and shipwrecks out of the Spanish colonial period and Second World War. For divers it is a real under water paradise.  This is what holiday is all about. It’s like discovering a paradise. Enjoy to shop in the small streets. After dinner we visit Sabang Beach and experience the dazzling nightlife.


DAY 21. By boat we drive back to Batangas. From there to Manila where we take our dinner and stay in Manila in the Garden Plaza Hotel or Orchid Garden Hotel.


DAY 22. We  visit  one  of  the colorful markets. You will be surprised by the cheap prices of many articles or we visit one of the luxury air-conditioned shopping malls after we bring you to the airport  and we hope that you enjoy this tour.

DAY 23.  Arriving in your country.

In this 23rd Day Tour we go to Donsol to spot and swim with the Whale Shark. The Whale Shark can  be seen only from October to May in Donsol. In the other time, we change the program and fly to the island of Coron. This is a paradise for diving to coral reefs, tropical fishes and ship wrecks out of the Spanish colonial period and Second World War. We go on to DAY 4 by plan to Busuanga. We stay there in the simple Sea Dive Resort. In the DAY 5 to 7, we go for minimum for two times dive per day.  In DAY 8, we go back to Manila. In DAY 9, we go by Ferry Boat to the island Cebu and in the DAY 10, we stay in the Montebello Garden Hotel and we make a city tour. Cebu City is an older city then Manila and has the harbor with the most activities in the country. In the DAY 11, we go to the Malapascua Island and from there we go back into our program.
